In Week 2 of the 2018 season, all teams were on the road. The Women were visiting the Ottawa Banshees and St-Lambert Locks, as the Men were opening the season in Barrhaven, against the Scottish.

TMR W2 vs Ottawa Banshees (L 07-49)
On Saturday, May 26th, the TMR Women's Seconds made their way to Twin Elms in Ottawa to play the Banshees for game 2 of the season. Many newcomers to the team played positions outside their comfort zone, which led to a slow start from TMR. After shaking off the first try scored by the Banshees, our ladies held the defensive line and pushed back. The only try of the game from Rosalie Authier was scored in the first half, though the majority of it was played in the TMR half. At half, the ladies rallied and came together for a strong start with many charges up the field from the pack. Unfortunately, the team ran out of steam in the final moments leading to a loss. Notable runs were made by Maya A., Samara B., Jennifer A., Joanie D. and Sara (Steve) K. There is potential in the seconds team, and great improvements were made from the first game of the season.

TMR W1 vs St-Lambert Locks (W 48-07)
On Saturday May 26, TMR Women’s Rugby Prems travelled to Ste. Julie to play the St-Lambert Locks in what would be game two of the 2018 season. TMR had several players adjusting and trying new positions, but were still able to get off to a strong start. With powerful runs by Captain Ngalula Faumba, Virginie Bourque, and Lauren Minns, the forwards and their set piece were a force to be reckoned with. Anais Holly led the back play and was integral in the organization of her back line. Magali Harvey was also back in action in the 12 spot, threatening the defence with every touch of the ball. TMR was able to elevate the pace of the game, with impact substitutions and a deep bench. Coach Craig Beemer was pleased with the performance, but still believes the team has a lot to work on!

amedi le 26 mai, TMR Women's Seconds se sont rendu à Twin Elms Park à Ottawa pour affronter les Banshees dans le cadre de leur deuxième match de la saison 2018. De nombreuses nouvelles venues dans l’équipe ont joué à des positions hors de leurs zones de confort. Conséquemment, TMR Women’s Seconds a connu un départ lent. Après avoir secoué le premier essai marqué par les Banshees, nos dames ont tenu la ligne défensive et repoussé leurs opposantes. Le seul essai du match, de Rosalie Authier, a été marqué en première demie,malgré que l’action s’est majoritairement déroulée du côté de TMR. À la demi, les dames se sont mobilisées et sont revenues forte sur le terrain avec de nombreuses charges des avants. Malheureusement, l'équipe s'est essoufflée dans les derniers moments menant à une défaite. Des courses notables ont été faites par : Maya A., Samara B., Jennifer A., Joanie D. and Sara (Steve) K. Il y a du potentiel dans la seconde équipe et de grandes améliorations ont été apportées depuis le premier match de la saison.

TMR W1 vs St-Lambert Locks (V 48-07)
Samedi le 25 mai, TMR Women’s 1st ont voyagé à Ste-Julie pour disputer leur deuxième match de la saison 2018 contre les Locks de St-Lambert. Plusieurs joueuses de TMR devaient s’ajuster et trouver leurs marques à de nouvelles positions. Elles ont connu malgré tout un solide départ. Grâce aux puissantes courses de la capitaine Ngalula Faumba, de Virginie Bourque et de Lauren Minns, les avants et leurs assauts furent une force à ne pas négliger. Anaïs Holly a mené le jeu et fût une partie intégrante de l'organisation de sa ligne arrière. Magali Harvey était également de retour au jeu au centre (12), menaçant la défensive adverse chaque fois qu’elle touchait le ballon. TMR a été en mesure d'élever le rythme du jeu, pouvant compter sur des joueuses talentueuses pour procéder à des remplacements d’impact. L'entraîneur chef, Craig Beemer ,0était satisfait de la performance, mais croit toujours que l'équipe a beaucoup de travail à faire!
